Mersehead RSPB

We'd never been to  this reserve and it's really nice - very diverse - from wet woodland, saltmarsh, merse to beach.

Barnacle Geese...and below.

Woodland walk down to the hide.

View from the hide of Criffel....plenty of teal, shoveller and pintail.

Nuthatch.

Bullfinch.

Looking towards Kippford.

Reflections.

Fragments of shell with forams (single celled organisms that build a shell) ...but we'll need to look at them under a microscope...

A potential Snow Goose that turned out to be a leucistic Barnacle Goose.

Cockles.

Cockles, Tower Shells and Tellins.

Witches Butter Fungus.
