Port William Beach

With the weather set fair we took the opportunity to go on a quick camping trip. Not far as the crow flies from home, around 50 miles - a bit more if you have to drive round the Solway Firth! The campsite at Port William is super, large and just behind the beach, so after pitching up - a walk along the beach...

The back of the beach is a rich tapestry of vegetated shingle....

...with lots of dead Goosegrass.

The highlight - a spectacular display of Sea Kale.

Mayweed.

Sea Rocket.

Turnstones.

..and a handful of shells...
