Beach textures and patterns

A dry day at long last! ..and some sunshine, so off to the beach - dry underfoot and guaranteed not to be in the shade.

It was obvious from the ridges, which way  the wimd had been blowing yesterday. 

There had been a lot of re-working and movement of sediment since we had been down last time - normally the old oyster posts are surrounded by silt. 

Mussels and barnacles.

Lovely to see nad to listen to the many feeding oystercatchers.
