An early start, that paid off, as we were able to park easily on the roadside in Horton-in- Ribblesdale. With a good forecast and photographs of Purple Saxifrage in flower on Twitter, we set off for the first of our regular annual botanical pilgrimages. A great walk as always and down in time to avoid the crowds and in time for lunch at the Station pub at Ribblehead. Oh - and the obligatory Ring Ouzel...
