Drumburgh Moss - New hide

The weather isn't any great shakes, so I stopped off for a walk on Drumburgh and to look at the new hide. It isn't necessarily always easy to find a blog ...but the colours and textures on the moss never disappoint...and I look forward to using the new hide once restrictions are lifted.

View from the new hide.

Inside...

Some of the ponds are still frozen....I'd have liked to have got closer to the ice to do some close up photography ...  but for safety's sake I didn't!

Wintery colours, textures and shapes.

General view...

Love the lichens on the wooden interpretation boards...

Bog ashodel seed pods.

Sphagnum...

..and the gorgeous Exmoor ponies.
