Yellow Star of Bethlehem, Cumbria

As I have previously reported click here, the yellow star of Bethlehem is indeed a rare plant and as this blog click here illustrates - it isn't always easy to find out in flower! We were bob on with the timing this year though and it was evident that the plant had been recently submerged - we were lucky!

This time we parked at Armathwaite and followed  the riverside path upstream - at times rather muddy!

  1. Oh wow haven't heard of this flower and don't think I will get to see them this year. Hopefully get to the Eden Valley after the twelfth of April, will keep checking out your blog for other wildlife to see. :)
