Oysters and Elderflower

After a pleasantly cooler night, a walk along the beach at Kilinallan. Not though, until we had driven round Loch Gorm and remarkably, spotted the Snow Goose that had been reported. Killinallan is always lovely, but the highlight of the day was sitting on the decking at the Oyster Shed on the way back, in full sunshine - Fresh oysters and sparkling elderflower - very nice. We have long been customers of Islay Oysters, but this time was  the first time we had eaten at the Shed 9 highly recommended), which lies on the shore of Loch Gruinart. Then back to the campsite and another couple of field sketches of the view.

Loch Gorm.

A distant sleeping Snow Goose.

Eider Ducks on Loch Gruinart and below.

Ardnave Point on the left and Killinallan on the right.

Getting closer...

A goodly dollop of seals in the estuary.

One of the Paps of Jura raises its head......

...time to head to the Oyster Shed.
