This is a really nice little walk from Castle Douglas; out round the Lough. The far side and end of the Lough are particularly nice with a fenced in footpath across fields leading to the reedbed area and a good length of boardwalk before returning through woodland. The Lough itself was frozen over apart from a small area at the far end. there was some atmospheric light!
