A walk up our back lane in this gorgeous 'summer' weather! My first intent was to do a photocollage on mosses, but then I realised I really know nothing about them and the ones up our lane all look pretty similar, although the fruiting bodies are nice. Good to see several bee-flies, may favourite - water avens and also my first wood sorrel (the photo was out of focus!) as well as plenty of violets and a false oxlip. So the theme for today was straightforward - The Lane.
