Cowslaw bridge and the river Waver:Lockdown 41

A beautiful stretch of river just down the road ...and I'd never been there - mind the weather helps! The cliff face by the bridge is an exposure of the Permian mudstones and sandstones (interbedded) with some nice fine-micaceous sandstone ripples. Along the river it was just beautiful and there were lots of dippers with you flitting up and down. Plenty of otter scats too.

The Permian outcrop.

Reflections - you only really see the green when you photograph the water.

Wild garlic portrait.

Young dipper.

Sketchbook entry.
