Lamonby fields

A pleasant round walk on footpaths and roads incorporating Lamonby verges. We chose the route to go via an old quarry which reportedly had fossil corals exposed on the quarry floor. Sadly, the quarry floor was rather overgrown, so the rock wasn't visible, but the walk was enjoyable none the less. The cattle with calves had just been let out - so it was good to see them enjoying the sunshine (cute calves!) .
