A very enjoyable visit to this favourite spot, this time with the folks. I really can't believe how different two consecutive days can be - persistent rain and mist today! Glad we got out! I'm not going to repeat previous comments about the site - take a look at this for more views of the meltwater channel and this for an explanation and details of its formation.

And no trip to Aughertree Fell would be complete without a trip to the pond and a scrat for fossils. |
