Having travelled as far as Glenborrodale, we decided to keep going as far as Kentra Bay. A path led us round the back of the saltmarsh and over through plantation woodland to the Singing Sands at Gortenfern. What we didn't know, was that the woodland was being clear felled at the time and it was stark in contrast to the delightful walk, through temperate rainforest, we had taken in the morning.

Leaving the saltmarsh we headed through the 'woods'. |
Fianlly we reached the beach - 'The Singing Sands'. |
And back via the same route... |
The tide had come in! |
Autumnal colours. |
