Sanna Bay

Lying at the westerly point of Ardnamurchan Sanna Bay is home to several white sandy beaches with stunning backdrops, so after visiting the volcaninc caldera, we continued a couple of miles down the road.... Luckily, as the afternoon progressed the sun came out.

From the carpark we crossed the machair to the beach - nice to see so many Grass of Parnassus in flower.

Some good shell dumps...

Despite searching, no whole Cowries - just fragments.

Golden Plover.

Sanderling.

Sketching time...

Spot the lighthouse!

Zooming in...

..and the sun came out...

Skye and Eigg.

A good view of the caldera.

Hebridean colours.

...and a tombolo!
