Mawbray to Allonby shore walk

After the mountainous walks we decided on a shorter walk yesterday! The light was fabulous with dark, sultry skies and bright sunshine on occassions. The highlight though was a natural realignment of Crookhurst Beck, which in realigning itself had exposed a range of Holocene sediments - but that'll have to be the next blog!

Across to Criffel...

The not so common - common gull.
