Decoupage Egg Tree

A short project - very therapeutic, but I must get on with some more cards and paintings!

Golden Plover spectacle

A fantastic display by a wing (apparently that's the proper collective noun) of golden plover whistling overhead as they turned in cloud formation. A fabulous wildlife sight.

Lovely colours on the beach this morning, yellow ochre and indigo
and a splash of orange.

Solway skies and light

A lovely light down on the beach this morning - totally different depending on which way you looked, but which ever way you looked it was cold!

More stars, cones and ...ants!

A day of finishing off - photos of some new straw stars and a plaited heart; added buttons to the tops of hanging cones - to be put away for next Christmas; made boxes from flat packed nets I'd bought...and Tom made this gorgeous ant!

Snowdrops and Primroses

New card ideas to remind us that, hopefully, spring will arrive at some stage.
There are absolutely no signs of new life in the garden and certainly no signs of snowdrops even being in bud; then again, the rebekkia are still in flower from last autumn!

Mawbray revisited - debris and destruction

Re-walked part of the Mawbray to Allonby walk in the wake of yesterday's storm; in the calm before tomorrow's storm.
The whole back of the beach has changed at Mawbray with a high wrack line. Plastic rubbish dominates.

Stone gabions and concrete ripped apart.

Below - close up of some fabulously colourful bark on a washed up branch.
