Rocky and Rowan's Islay

Rocky was really excited to be 'home' again and knew exactly where he was - Rowan - Just loved it!

Proud of his antler find!

Tired after our Jura walk - asleep until we noticed the ditch was rather tick infested!

Caol Ila fishermen's sheds

Just beyond Caol Ila are some superb old fishermen's sheds ....full of textures and very photogenic!

Killinallan

A favourite walk along the beach - no one there as usual....just  the singing seals.

Spectacular  'Foram tidelines' - Forams are single celled organisms and the white blobs in the photographs are their shells.

Family photo!

Just a selection of the shells that were on the tideline - I wish I'd realised earlier how many there would be, so I could photograph them all  - it would have been the perfect start to re-learning my shells! In the top photo, middle bottom there is a Pelican's Foot shell...after Tom found one I wasn't leaving the beach until I too had found one!

Rowan and Rocky...loved the beach.

The Oa

Wit ha forecast of drizzle coming in for the afternoon we headed down to the Oa...

Some very placid Highland Cattle....

Less so when you have a dog and there are calves ....

After giving the cattle a wide berth ...cracking views ...

..and zooming in to the Golden Eagle.

Super Goats ...and below..

The American Monument.

A spectacular coast.

Cuckoo and Whinchat.

View from the Singing Sands on the way back....

Islay Hares

My favourite animal -  I could spend hours watching them!
