Gortantoid and beyond

The forecast wasn't too bad, so we decided to go to Killinallan as it can be rather exposed in poorer weather - mind it is only February! We parked up as usual (the track has deteriorated substantially!) The weather looked fair though - good gaps of blue sky between the hail downpours - so we set off along the track to Gortantoid. There was the odd hail shower, but it looked good enough to continue along the coast. A tad damp underfoot it has be said but do-able. A good view of an eagle and a big flock of twite and reed bunting. Lots of barnacle geese as usual and fantastic views of Ben Mor and the mountains beyond covered in snow.

Oystercatchers and golden eagle
Some of my favourite views ...so lucky!
