Eagle and Sargeant's Crag

The final two Wainwrights for Steve with the dog. We set off early to ensure a parking space down Stonethwaite, before following the Cumbria Way along Stonethwaite Beck and then Greenup Gill. The moraines along Greenup Gill and later on down in Langstrath were spectacular. Good views, especially off Eagle Crag - a nightmare of a ladder stile for the dog getting onto the top of Eagle Crag - one I remembered from last time I was up there. Once again I failed to find the minor path down into Langstrath, so there was a 'find your own way down' descent.

Looking down towards Stonethwaite.

Greenup Gill and moraines.

Looking along the ridge to Sergeant's Crag.

Looking up Langstrath.

...and down onto more moraines.
