A very early start, 3am, to catch the 9:50am ferry from Mallaig to South Uist - and what a perfect journey it was! Primarily because, despite all the Calmac troubles, it happened and secondly because the weather was perfect .... We had good views of Common Dolphins and Manx Shearwaters, but it was the Cuillins that stole the show...(and made me twitchy about doing some 'proper' mountains again). We also had good views of Rhum, Eigg and Canna.
