Caldbeck to Hesket Newmarket - along the river.

As always, a lovely walk for the Spring flowers - but looking back at my previous blogs: 4th May 2014 and 24th May 2015  it is interesting to see how we are certainly behind 2014 and on a par with 2015. Hopefully a good pointer for planning a trip to Upper Teesdale to see the Spring Gentians later in May. This time though however it was lovely that we saw both speckled wood and comma butterflies - neither are common here, although unfortunately the comma eluded the camera!
