Bunnahabhain to Bholsa and Ruvaal, Islay

On Wednesday we had a good walk out from Bunnahabhain up and across to the beaches and caves between Bholsa and Ruvaal. We followed the path along the coast before cutting in front of Sgarbh Breac and across to the coast. Spectacular views as usual!

Looking back to Bunnahabhain and on to Bholsa.

Green hairstreak butterfly.

Spectacular coastal scenery between Bholsa and Ruvaal.

Some hybrid orchid; a toad playing dead (very convincingly) and butterwort.

An adder out in the warmth.

Fabulous beaches with silver weed, yellow flag iris and thrift.
