Maryport blues.........

A quick trip out yesterday to see the small blue butterfly, purple broomrapes and bee orchids at Maryport harbour SSSI.  The weather wasn't perfect but for butterflies, but the sun did come out briefly. Great to see so many bee orchids!

Hop trefoil, bird's-foot trefoil and kidney vetch.

Purple broomrapes.

Pyramidal orchids.

Pyramidal orchid; yellow-horned poppy; ox-eye daisy and bloody cranesbill.
