Raised sediments of Allonby (lll)

Following our previous visits click here, which gives a detailed description of the new exposure and here for photos comparing our first and second visits; we visited for a third time. The beck has continued to push along parallel to the coast and is separated from the sea by a long deposit of shingle from longshore drift. It was more or less high tide, so both the beck and the waves were eroding the sand dunes and underlying deposits.
