The other day we walked along the Solway coast and I took photographs of some really nice frost patterns on the beach. These inspired me to do something I haven't done for a while...a pice of textile work just for me. The fun was in the doing of it, rather than the end piece which will undoubtedly just end up in another pile of 'things' somewhere! The whole piece doesn't photograph well, because you can't see the detail, but the close ups are better. I used wool - felted to the hessian backing, net, shiny fabric, different threads, beads, acryllic white paint and expandaprint. Good fun!
