However, I was supposed to be looking at this: Sowerby's famous burried cliff - the chalk that is showing is a pleistocene (last intergalcial) cliff face and to the left are sediments including a shingle beach which contained elephant and rhinocerous remains from 116,000 - 128,000 years ago. Overlying this are various perigalcial depostits and tills. |
