Isle of Whithorn - Lichens

The first full day of our holiday -Monday:  It was forecast to come in damp and windy in the afternoon so we headed off to the Isle of Whithorn... 

After a wander around village, we went to the headland and saw the memorials to the Solway Harvester, that went down in January 2000. Then ontoSt Ninian's chapel - it's is currently undergoing repairs so we couldn't up to it which was a shame - the lichens on the headland's rocks though were fab!
