Drumburgh Moss

After we'd gone to Bowness Gravel Pits and stopped off at my folks for lunch, we went to Drumburgh Moss - lots of Large Heath butterflies on the wing. Not an easy day for photography as it was windy and very bright.

Common Emerald Damselfly.

Large Skipper.

Four Spot Chaser.

Cross-leaved Heath and ants.

Bog Ashodel ...old seedheads and new flowers.

Small Skipper.

Large Heath ..and below...

Nearly a nice photo!
