RSPB Conwy

..and so our Anglesey trip began ....with a stop off on the way at this very conveniently placed RSPB reserve. It's literally just off the A55 and bacon butties were available! Not a lot of wildfowl, but a good stop for us, with great views of the castle.

Everyone was very excited about the first Whooper Swan to arrive - there are already plenty on the Solway. Quite a few Gadwall, Teal, Shoveller and Mallard.

Autumn...

Super patterns in the Old Man's Beard - something we don't get in North Cumbria.

Looking across the estuary.....

The railway ...destroying the view....

A more classic view.....
