Earlier this week, we went for a quick walk round Wedholme Flow - it's amazing how much it changes from week to week. This time it was the strength of the autumn colours that was impressive....

On a gorgeous sunny, autumnal day, we went down to Leighton Moss to see what was around. Obviously the ducks were low in numbers and in eclipse, but there was plenty to see, including good views of Bearded Reedlings flying across the reed beds.

One of the highlights of our trip to Leighton Moss ysterday, was the wasps! There was lots of frantic activity in and out of a knot-hole in one of the hides....

A walk down Wedholme Flow on a very warm and sunny morning. It was nice ot see some fungi, as they have been sadly lacking until now. There haven't even been any field mushrooms this yeaar despite it being warm and wet. Anyway, an enjoyable walk with a good view of a decent sized Adder.

After walking along the Tees, we went up to Cow Green - in full sun with a gentle breeze - a change from normal!
