One of the reasons for coming to Suffolk was to explore the heathland. On the way to Dunwich Heath, from Minsmere, we stopped off at Westleton Heath. This really is just a recce of the area, so a random walk with the vague hope of seeing a Dartford Warbler. None were forthcoming, but we did come across the most gorgeous 'blue' Adder - which Rocky decided to take a second look at! Alls well that ends well! After that we went on to Dunwich Heath - a nice walk and we saw four different Dartford Warblers - which were what you could say: challenging to photograph - Something for later in the week.
