The main focus for the day was going to be a wander around Aldeburgh, but being as we were practically passing North Warren we decided to start the day with a meander. And that it was! A meander, as there were many footpaths and minimal (no) signage once you were on the reserve. There is though a lovely mixture of reedbed with board walk, heathland and woodland. The highlight was sitting in warm sun on a viewing platform, over looking the reedbed, with good views of Cetti's Warbler, Water Rail and Marsh Harrier. After that it was nice to see our first Brimstones, Orange Tip, Speckled Wood and Small Copper butterflies.
