Upper Teesdale round walk.

Well it's that time of year again - spring gentian time - a glorious day so off to Teesdale. As always, we parked in the Hanging Shaw carpark at Forest in Teesdale and then down to the river. The bank by the river was superb! More gentians than I've seen before.

Then we walked along the Tees towards Widdybank and under Falcon Clints before ascending Cauldron Snout and back down the road to the Langdon Beck Hotel and refreshments before returning to Hanging Shaw.

The views .............the bird's-eye primrose were superb!

The flowers : early purple orchid; mountain pansies ; cowslip; alpine bartsia; spring gentians; cowslip
and wood anemone.

Cuteness!

Bilberry bumble bee.
