Shore Lark and Thamnolia vermicularis.

While enjoying the walk yesterday - there were two unexpected highlights! Both on the summit of White Stones. Having spotted the shore lark, thanks to Molly for the photos - taken while I un-steamed my glasses!

A shore lark - apparently one was seen December 2016 on Helvellyn and one at Nethermost Cove in January 2017. Could this be the same bird as we weren't far off  Helvellyn?
Thamnolia vermicularis: I haven't seen any of this for ages - despite having kept an eye out on all suitable Lakeland summits over the past couple of years.
