The Dodds - round walk

Yesterday we took advantage of the bank holiday and a good forecast.....after parking up at High Row, Dockeray, we headed across Matterdale Common (damp footpath but fine) to Great Dodd where the clouds were fantastic - rolling back and forth, sadly we didn't see any brocken spectres. Then onto Watson's Dodd and Stybarrow Dodd, before stopping at White Stones for a brief lunch, and onto Hart Side before trying to find the wet path back from the wall below Hart Side, north to Dowthwaite Head. Then a nip up and over Low How to return to the car. A really nice remote horseshoe with good views.

Great Mell Fell, Blencathra, Rocky and Ullswater and Dowthwaite Head.
Great Dodd summit.

Superb clouds!
