Waitby Greenriggs reserve

A trip down to a favourite Cumbria Wildlife Trust reserve - Waitby Greenriggs near Crosby Garret. The fly orchids were just about to go past their best, but the lesser butterfly orchids were spot on. Good patches of bird's-eye primrose and globe flower too. Plenty of chimney sweeper moths.

The old railway line ...and nature reserve.

Fly orchids.

Lesser butterfly orchids.

Twayblade; common spotted orchids, bird's-eye primrose; wood cranesbill; yellow rattle; globe flower and chimney sweeper moth.
