Eycott Hill felt

With a workshop on Friday it was great to have an excuse to play! So an experimental piece to inspire others in their creations. It sold within hours of being shown on my fb page - Julia Garner Arts! This time I dyed some nepps - small balls of wool, rolled a sausage to create concentric circles when cut and used dissolvable fabric to attach thread and fabric bits under strands of merino. Oh and included some dyed silk I'd been given.

Machine stitching onto water soluble fabric.

The above piece after being dissolved.

The felt - after wet felting before being dried.

Detail before felting.

The finished piece.
