A walk on the moss today, accompanied by Cuckoos - lovely to hear, the first of the year! Good to see large areas of water and lots of birds ...Redshank, Teal, Shoveller, Mallard, Black-headed Gulls, several Reed Bunting, Meadow Pipits and Curlew ...plus Willow Warblers and Chiff Chaff. The highlights though were caterpillars, which is why the cuckoos are here!
