Wedholme Flow

A walk on the moss today, accompanied by Cuckoos - lovely to hear, the first of the year! Good to see large areas of water and lots of birds ...Redshank, Teal, Shoveller, Mallard, Black-headed Gulls, several Reed Bunting, Meadow Pipits and Curlew ...plus Willow Warblers and Chiff Chaff. The highlights though were caterpillars, which is why the cuckoos are here!

The beginning of the Cotton Grass flowering.

Curlew.

Beautiful Yellow Underwing.

Tiger Beetle.

Just love Cotton Grass!

Dark Tussock moth caterpillar, Drinker moth and Oak Eggar.
