It's always exciting to collect fused glass after it has been fired, as you can never quite tell how it will come out. This time, two quite different pieces:

When we were in the Cairngorms we brought a few 'nibbled by red squirrel' cones home ...obviously they needed their own bowl! So the above is prior to firing - the dark marks on the thin glass rods are from where I heated them so I could bend them a little. |

This bowl (before firing above, after below) is based on Maiden Hair Spleenwort and Hart's-tonge Fern growing in a gryke. |
