RSPB Bempton

Another gloriously sunny day and a trip to meet friends at Bempton. We arrived early and soon realised that the first stop had to be the Gannets, while t he sun was on the cliff face. Spectacular as always. Then a wander or two along hte cliff top. A remarkable number of birds are here already with lots of Razorbills and Guillemots. There were a few Puffins at sea and as a sea fret came in, dropping the temperature and visibility, a misty view of a puffin in a crevice on the cliff face.

A gloomy start to the day.

Gannets in the sun - the cliff face went into the shade at mid day.

Plenty of activity..

Sun bathing!

Flypasts.

A distant Puffin.

A photo-bombing Puffin.

Razorbills....and below.

Guillemots - look down at the bottom right of the photo ...many, many Guillemots.

Guillemots.

And through the sea fret, a Puffin.
