After Church Island and ...we moved on to Portmore Lough and then Oxford Island ....trying to avoid the incoming weather! At Portmore Lough we were accompanied by a random black Labrador for our walk - good to see the Common Terns using the rafts. At Oxford Island, there were plenty of the 'Lough Neagh flies - a term which applies to various species of chironomid species known as non-biting midges or lake flies and hence, lots of swallow swooping down to the lake.
