Malin Head

A trip to Europe! Across a very small stretch of water - a 15 minute ferry ride and into Donegal. Our first stop was at Malin Head - of Shipping Forecast fame and it didn't disappoint! And while most places we have visited seem to have a Game of Thrones link, I had no idea that Malin Head had a Starwars link!

Waiting for the ferry to leave....

Towards the headland....

The most northerly point in Ireland.

...and featured in  Starwars film 'The Last Jedi'.

Superb rocks...

Looking back to the arpark and Malin Tower - constructed in 1805 by the Admiralty, it was used as a Lloyds signal station conecting Europe to America.

Our picnic spot..

....and a few Starwars pics...
