A Holkham afternoon

A beautiful late afternoon, so a quick walk out onto the dunes at Holkham. We parked at the crossroads just east of Burnham Overy Staithe and walked down a truly clarty track to join the coastal footpath along the seawall, before dropping into the dunes. The dune heaths are really nice and good to see so many of the little stalked puff balls. The Shore Larks were the icing on the cake!

Looking across to Holkham.

Spoonbills.

Sand dune lichens.

Looking across the shore and you could spot ...

Shore Larks - and below.

Tiny stalked Puff Balls ...and below.

Bee Orchid rosette.

Sunset.
