Round Buttermere Lake

Not a brilliant forecast today and we got back just as it began to rain, but this is always a cracking little walk. We were off early enough to avoid the half term crowds and the kiosk was open for ice creams at the far and of the lake too!

Shafts of sunlight....

Shimmering Buttermere....

The tunnel...

Yearling Herdies.

Looking back down the lake.

Belted-Galloway, Highland cattle and Herdies.

Mallard sheltering from the wind.
