Lingmoor Fell

So Rocky the dog has only one more Wainwright to summit - Loughrigg Fell. Today was Lingmoor Fell, with views down onto Loughrigg. We parked in Elterwater at the National Trust carpark and followed  the quarry track towards Dale End. Just before Dale End a gate leads onto the fell and up through bracken onto the ridge up to Lingmoor Fell. Navigtion is easy, as once on the ridge, you just follow the wall - and a very nice wall it is too! A very pleasant little top with spectacular views across to Wetherlam and round to Crinkle Crags and Bowfell, as well as across to the Langdale Pikes. Not perfect visibility, but good enough. Some drizzly rain on the tops, nothing to make you put a waterproof on, and some fanntastic autumnal colours - heathers and bog asphdel inparticular.

Looking over Little Langdale Tarn towards Wetherlam.

Back towards Elterwater and Windermere.

Wetherlam.

Rocky on the summit, with the Langdale Pikes behind.

Pike of Stickle.

Autumn colours.
