A hard walk along the beach from Heacham to the far end of the RSPB Snettersham reserve. Sadly, it wasn't a big enough tide to push the birds inland at high tide but we could see seriously large numbers out on the mud - quality mud! As the fog came in we made our way back through the atmospheric dune hinterland. It was interesting to see the huge trucks transporting sand to try and shore up the coast - not a long term solution I would think!
From Heacham looking east ... |
Plenty of washed up cockle shells. |
Easier walking than on the beach... |
Behind the dunes. |
Shoring the coastal defences ... |
Part of an eclectic mix of properties along the walk ... |
Glorious mud! |
...then the fog came in ... |
