So, my base and frosted grasses were fused ... We were concerned about how robust the frosted grasses would be - but they held together well...
A reminder of the inspiration...
Holes were drilled in the base at the exact width of the grasses - the holes were then filled with Epoxy Resin and the grasses put into the holes. The piece then had those plastic feet, that you put on coasters, attached to the base and this was overlain on a board that was painted in the colour of the peaty water beneath the ice ...
