Barf, Lord's Seat, Ullister Hill, Seat How and then we got lost!

A great walk - a lot of laughs....a few views - a lot of rain and zero visibility! We parked for free in the  Powter How car park and took the steep route up Beckstones Gill onto Barf. Then as the mist/rain began we headed over to Lord's Seat. That bit was fine, but somehow after Ullister Hill and Seat How we managed to lose our way - the paths were complex and all seemed to want to take you to Whinlatter, so we just headed down using the compass to return to the carpark (the visibility was zero), not by the most direct route I'm sure! Can't say I'd recommend the route, but we thoroughly enjoyed it!

The Bishop of Barf ...the whitestone marks the point where the according to local legend, the Bishop of Derry was killed falling from his horse in 1783, after drunkenly betting he could ride up the hill.

The view out as we climbed up Beckstones Gill.

Rocky looking for a view through the mist on Lord's Seat.
