The Coledale round including Grasmoor.

An overcast morning, which was good, because it was very warm when the sun came out later in the day. We started at Braithwaite, parking easily on the roadside near the school. Then up and along Barrow Door before skirting Outerside and up onto Sail. Reasonable views down into Langale etc but a bit murky. Then onto Crag Hill; down to Coledale Hause; up onto Grasmoor - which had a lovely alpine flora; back to Coledale Hause; onto Hopegill Head and then over Grisedale Pike before descending to the Coledale Inn for a pint! A cracking walk!

On the way to Crag Hill via Sail with views down over Force Crag mine and down the Coledale beck.

Rocky on the summit of Grasmoor with Crummock and Butterere in the valley bottom.

Lovely club mosses on the Grasoor plateau.

Towards Grisedale Pike, Whiteside, Rocky on Grisedale Pike and a pint at the end!
