Blea Rigg, Sergeant Man, High Raise and Tarn Crag

Well the weather froecast didn't predict quite how warm it was going to be! Sweltering heat for a long walk. Fortunately, we got an early start and arrived at Easedale tarn as the overnight mists lifted - so there was some comparative cool. It quickly burnt off though and it was hard work slogging up to Blea Rigg. We took care to let the dog rest in the shade and there were plenty of damp patches and streams to water him - he won't go in the water which is a pain, so it was a case of squeezing a soaked neckerchief  over him and then him wearing it. The views from High Raise were stunning as it is so central to the Lake District. The path down from High Raise to Tarn Crag was indistinct and we ended up taking quite a steep way off from Tarn Crag back to Easedale tarn for a paddle - I'm not used to the water being warm in the Lakes!
